RED DEER - The Hockey Alberta Foundation is kicking off the new year with the Piper Creek Optimist Club at Bo’s Bar & Stage with the return of the Battle of Alberta fundraiser presented by MNP.
Doors open at 4:30 P.M. on January 8. Comedian Todd Ness will be filling the evening with laughs as guests enjoy complimentary appetizers and a beverage before the Edmonton Oilers will take on the New York Islanders. Intermission entertainment will feature a Hot Stove with Edmonton Oilers alumni, Mike Rogers, and Calgary Flames alumni, Collin Patterson.
Throughout the evening, there will be a silent and live auction with hockey memorabilia and ticket packages to Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames games.
Proceeds benefit the Every Kid Every Community Program. Over the years, the Battle of Alberta event has raised over $70,000 for the program, helping support grassroots hockey across Alberta.
