-
Prohibited Activities: Parent/player games are strictly prohibited.
Sanctioned vs. Non-Sanctioned Activities
-
Sanctioned Activities (covered by Hockey Canada insurance): games, practices, dryland training, tournaments, and evaluations.
-
Non-Sanctioned Activities (not covered by Hockey Canada insurance): swimming, paintball, bowling, campfires, bottle drives, hiking, team-building activities, etc.
Important:
-
The association is not liable for non-sanctioned events. Responsibility falls on the organizer(s).
-
To reduce risk, teams should:
-
Apply for a sanction permit
-
Obtain separate event insurance for outside activities.
-
-
Families must be notified if an event is not sanctioned so they are aware it is not insured.
