Steps 1 and 2 MUST be completed before Step 3 (Registering).
If these are not done, your registration will not be processed and your player will be ineligible to participate.

Link your child’s player profile to your Spordle account.
If your player already has a Hockey Canada profile, you must link it to your parent account.
** If your player is brand new, create a new HCR profile in Spordle.
Once the profile is linked, upload the required documents under Docuements on your player’s profile
Birth Certificate
2 Proofs of Residency (see list below)
I cannot verify or approve your player’s registration until the profile is linked and these documents are uploaded.
Locate your child’s Hockey Canada Member # in their profile (needed for RIS Parent Certification).
**NEW (May 16, 2025):
Brand new players must create their HCR number directly in Spordle. [Instructions]
This HCR number must be entered when signing up for RIS Parent so the certificate shows properly in HCR.

Complete or renew your Parent Certificate (every 4 years).
Make sure the certificate is:
A Parent Certificate (not a Coach one).
Make sure it is showing in your child’s HCR profile under Qualification
If it is not showing in the player’s profile, your player is ineligible to participate.
After completing Step 1 (Spordle) and Step 2 (RIS Parent Course)
Go to [RDMH Registration] and complete your player’s registration.
Have the following ready:
Player HCR #
Respect in Sport Parent Certificate number
(If a Coach Certificate number is used, your registration will not be processed and your player will be ineligible.)
Provide 2 of the following:
Driver’s License
Canada Post mail delivery at residence (no P.O. boxes)
Telephone bill (landline)
Cable or internet bill
Lease agreement
Void cheque with residence address
Vehicle registration with residence address
Home purchase agreement with conditions lifted
Legal land description (if rural/box #)
Pond Hockey players inside RDMH boundaries
Must email 1 proof of residency document to jackie@reddeerminorhockey.com.
New or Pond Hockey players outside RDMH boundaries
Must submit an Out-of-Bounds Play Exception form and be approved before registering.
RDMH will begin reviewing these requests after August 5.
Players moving within Alberta into RDMH boundaries
Must complete a Player Movement Form.
Players that moved from outside Alberta into RDMH boundaries
Must complete a Parent Declaration Form.
You are required to attach 3 pieces of proof of residency for the transfer request to go through.
Enter jackie@reddeerminorhockey.com in the on the form, RDMH requires it for the transfer.
Registration will only be processed once:
Your child’s profile is linked to your Spordle account
Required documents are uploaded
RIS Parent certificate is showing in the player’s profile
