We are thrilled to announce that one of our very own local hockey players, Ben Beechey, has been selected to represent Alberta in the prestigious 2024 Brick Invitational.

We are thrilled to announce that one of our very own local hockey players, Ben Beechey, has been selected to represent Alberta in the prestigious 2024  Brick Invitational Tournament.  This tournament, renowned for showcasing exceptional talent, will feature 18 outstanding athletes born in 2014 from across Alberta!

Beechey's selection to Team Brick Alberta is a reflection of his hard work, passion, competitive spirit & his hard work on the ice.  Ben played an important role in helping the U11 AA KFC/Taco Bell CHIEFS capture a league championship banner in March & now he will proudly represent Red Deer Minor Hockey on the national stage in July.

Making this story even cooler, Ben's dad Tyler played in this same tournament on Team Brick Alberta 33 years ago!   He was a member of the 1991 squad & now Ben will get to join his dad on the wall of players chosen to represent Team Brick Alberta, very cool!!

We encourage everyone to rally behind Ben as he embarks on this exciting journey.  Let's show our CHIEF pride as he proudly represents Red Deer Minor Hockey & the city of Red Deer on the national stage.
