2024-2025 Red Deer Rebels U15 AAA - Provincial Champions
The 2024-2025 season was one to remember for the Red Deer Rebels U15 AAA team. From the first puck drop, this group demonstrated outstanding commitment, chemistry, and determination—qualities that propelled them to an exceptional season. With 84 practices, 34 games, three tournaments, a deep playoff run, and the intensity of the Alberta Provincial Championship, the Rebels left everything on the ice and proved their dedication every step of the way.
The Rebels finished the regular season with an impressive record of 27 wins, 6 losses, and 1 overtime loss over 34 games. They showcased balanced scoring, tight defense, and outstanding goaltending throughout the season.
This team had an incredible support system behind them every step of the way. From our dedicated coaching staff, who equipped the players with the tools, knowledge, and game plans needed for success, to our hardworking trainer, who had a busy season keeping everyone healthy and ready to play. Our team manager kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes, and our amazing parent group provided unwavering support throughout the entire season. It truly was a full team effort—both on and off the ice.
Head Coach Justin Jarmolicz was honored with the Kendall Dunkle Minor Coach of the Year Award on March 8, 2025, during a ceremony at a Red Deer Rebels game. This award recognizes a coach who volunteers with athletes aged 16 and under, serving as a role model by demonstrating leadership, good sportsmanship, and enthusiasm for their sport. Coach Jarmolicz has been at the helm of the Red Deer Minor Hockey U15 AAA Rebels since 2015, developing one of the most successful programs in the province—and now adding Provincial Champion to his coaching accolades.
Going for gold, the Rebels rose to the occasion. After a tough loss to the Northstars in the round-robin just 23 hours earlier, the team regrouped, refocused, and came back with purpose. In the Gold Medal game, held March 23, 2025 in front of a packed crowd at the Servus Arena, the Rebels set the tone early with a tipped goal from Jaxon Jaffray just over a minute in. A late first-period goal by Noah Ulry extended their lead to 2-0. The second period saw strong goaltending at both ends with no goals scored. Early in the third, Madden Daneault made it 3-0 with a brilliant solo effort. Though the Northstars got one back, Daneault sealed the 4-1 win with an empty-netter—his second of the night. Goalie Lane Bullee was rock solid, stopping 34 of 35 shots. The Rebels’ Provincial Championship is a reflection of their season-long focus, growth, and unity.
This team embodied Brotherhood in every sense of the word. They sacrificed their bodies for each other—laying down to block shots, pushing through bruises, bumps, and injuries—not for glory, but for the guy next to them. Through pain and perseverance, they proved that true brotherhood isn’t just something you say—it’s something you live. And they lived it all the way to gold.
