Registration Step by step Instructions
To help you navigate the player registration process smoothly, here are clear and organized steps:
1. Respect In Sport Parent Course (RIS)

If you've never taken the Respect In Sport Parent Course, complete it using this link. You will need a valid certificate number for registration (valid for 4 years).

2. Register
3. HCR 3.0 Spordle Account Setup
- All players must be linked to a Spordle account. At the beginning of each season please login and ensure your information is up to date for the new season.
- A valid (confirmed) profile is required before any player can be placed on an approved team roster.
- Your Spordle account is tied to the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR), where every player (parent has valid RIS Parent) and volunteer (with RIS Activity Leader) has a profile.

- Make sure you link your player profile to your Spordle account.

- Click on Add Sport Profile.
- Enter your player's Hockey Member # (find it on your RIS page under the profile/child management tab).
- Type in the number and validate the player's name.
- Click on Members again and then click on the player’s profile to view and complete any outstanding items.
- Under your child’s profile, you must upload:
- Birth Certificate
- 2 Parent's Proof of Residency
- If you have a rural address, 1 of the 2 documents must have your legal land description on it, Eg) NE2-39-22-W4
- These documents are required to verify and complete your registration.

4. Parent Declaration Form (For New Moves and Pond Hockey Players)

According to Hockey Canada regulations, players must play in the branch where their parents reside. Residency is defined as living at the address for at least 4 out of 7 days. Two (2) items from the following list are required to verify residency (Documents must be in parent's name): if your mailing address is rural or a box # you must have your Legal land on 1 of the 2 documents, Eg) NE2-39-22-W4
- Driver’s License (Father or Mother)
- Proof of mail delivery by Canada Post at residence (No P.O. boxes)
- Telephone bill (landline) at residence
- Cable or internet bill at residence
- Lease agreement in parent(s) name(s)
- Void cheque with residence address
- Vehicle registration with residence address
- Purchase agreement with conditions lifted
- Any other supporting documentation of residency
