2025 U11 Playoffs

Playoff Seeding is based on Regular Season Standings

Regular season league schedule shall end on or around February 25th
The first round of playoffs shall start the weekend of February 28th and will be a 2 game total goal series.
The second round will be a best of 3 series.
Playoff dates will be posted to the website January 20.

8 Team Playoff Format
Series 1 First place team vs 8th place team (2 game total goal)
Series 2 Fourth place team vs Fifth place team (2 game total goal)
Series 3 Third place team vs Sixth place team (2 game total goal)
Series 4 Second place team vs Seventh place team (2 game total goal)
Series 5A Winner of Series 1 vs Winner of Series 2 (2 game total goal) - higher seed regular season team will be home team for game 1, lower seed for game 2
Series 6B Loser of Series 1 vs Loser of Series 2 (2 game total goal) - higher seed regular season team will be home team for game 1, lower seed for game 2
Series 7A Winner of Series 4 vs Winner of Series 3 (2 game total goal) - higher seed regular season team will be home team for game 1, lower seed for game 2
Series 8B Loser of Series 4 vs Loser of Series 3 (2 game total goal) - higher seed regular season team will be home team for game 1, lower seed for game 2
Series 9B Winner of Series 6B vs Winner of Series 8B (best of 3) - higher seed regular season team will be home team for game 1 and 3, lower seed for game 2
Series 10A Winner of Series 5A vs Winner of Series 7A (best of 3) - higher seed regular season team will be home team for game 1 and 3, lower seed for game 2

TIE BREAKING PROCEDURE
When two (2) or more teams have an equal number of points after the final regular league standings, the teams will be ranked according to the following rules.
1. The team with most wins in regular season league play shall be ranked the highest.
2. If the teams are still tied after application of step (1), then the head to head record between the tied teams shall be ranked the highest.
3. If the teams are still tied after application of step (2), then Goals for and against between the tied teams shall be ranked the highest.
4. If the teams are still tied after the application of step (3), then the team with the best record of goals for minus goals against in regular league games shall be ranked the highest.
5. If the teams are still tied after the application of step (4), then the team with the least number of penalty minutes shall be ranked the highest.

When three (3) or more teams have an equal number of points after the final regular league standings, the teams will be ranked according to the following rules.
1. The team with most wins in regular season league play shall be ranked the highest.
2. If the teams are still tied after application of step (1), then the team with the most wins head to head between the tied teams shall be ranked the highest.
3. If the teams are still tied after application of step (2), then Goals for and against between the tied teams shall be ranked the highest.
4. If the teams are still tied after the application of step (3), then the team with the best record of goals for minus goals against in regular league games shall be ranked the highest.
5. If the teams are still tied after the application of step (4), then the team with the least number of penalty minutes shall be ranked the highest.

OVERTIME FORMAT
In all 2 game total goal playoff series, overtime will only be played if needed in Game 2 of the series. Overtime will follow the format outlines below.

In all best two of three playoff series, overtime will be played in ALL GAMES. If the score is tied after the end of regulation time.
Teams will not change ends prior to the start of OT.

  • Teams will play a five (5) minute 3 on 3 stop time, instant victory period.
    • The first team to score wins the game.
  • If the teams are still tied, each team shall select three (3) players for a shoot-out.
    • The team scoring the most goals after each team has shot three (3) times will be declared the winner.
    • Any Player that is serving a minor penalty at the conclusion of overtime will be eligible to participate in the shoot out.
    • Players receiving Game Misconduct(s) or Game Ejection will not be eligible.
    • The home team shall have the choice of shooting first or second, once they make that decision they will follow that order throughout the entire shootout procedure.
  •  If the teams are still tied, then each team will select one (1) additional shooter - this process continues until a winner is declared.
    • Shooters may not be repeated, until all skaters have had an opportunity.
    • This will now be an instant victory shootout.
