Sanctioning
Sanctioning is Hockey Canada’s official approval for activities outside of regular practices and games. When an event is sanctioned, everyone is properly insured, and the activity is recognized as safe and covered.
Signing a contract:
Check carefully for a “Hold Harmless” clause.
A Hold Harmless clause means the responsibility lies with the person signing — NOT Hockey Canada.
If you see this clause, do not sign and contact RDMH office for guidance.
